Artwork

My artwork leans towards the grunge aesthetic (splatters of paint, dense or dark images) and pixel art (8-bit, 16-bit images) from vintage video games. I tend to work with dense, overlapping images at high detail. However, I do create other pieces that are neither grungy nor gaming related. I’ve created regular realistic paintings, concept art for novels and computer games, as well as other various surreal character and cartoon art. I organize my art into series: I’ll create a number of related pieces that can be grouped together. But sometimes I’ll just create random things, and let them stand on their own. My work usually falls under Sci-Fi, tech, symbolic, abstract themes – infused with grunge splatters and vintage games, allowing me to reference popular characters. Because of these references, some of my work is deliberately derivative, yet all of my arrangements are original.

I don’t limit myself to illustrations and static media either. I’ve created animations and computer games as well – collaboratively and independently. I am also a web developer. This website, as well as many others for myself and various clients, are entirely my creation.
